Academic Itinerary

LIU Global College offers a unique Global Studies degree, blending coursework and field experience as students travel across the globe. The journey begins with a foundation year in Costa Rica, followed by study in Europe, Australia/Pacific, and concludes with internships and a senior thesis in New York City.

Curriculum Overview

1. Area Studies – Courses and fieldwork at each Global College center, focusing on regional cultures, languages, and issues.
2. Global Studies Core – A four-year sequence of courses that builds critical thinking, research, and communication skills, culminating in internships and a senior thesis.
3. Minors – Options in International Relations, Entrepreneurship, and Arts & Communications are available through a mix of core and elective courses.
